Halifax: three real estate resource hubs for the move before the move
Falkwin Group, The Pike Group and Perkins Real Estate give newcomers three different places to begin.

Start the move before arrival
Relocation starts with a map and quickly becomes a collection of smaller questions. What should we learn before arriving? Which parts of the city belong in our search? What information would make the first conversation with an agent more useful?
Our Halifax selection recognises three public resource offerings that make room for those questions. This is a shortlist of starting points: a detailed military-relocation article, a local buyer-resource platform and a practice with dedicated relocation and community paths.
01 · Falkwin Group — plan before arrival
Falkwin Group’s public military-relocation article discusses preparation before a house-hunting trip, virtual viewings and the questions that help shape a local search. Its wider buyer pages also set out an introduction to the team’s process. The practice operates with Royal LePage Atlantic.
It leads this edition for the specificity of that public brief. The article recognises that a move can involve preparation long before someone lands in the city. We would use it to gather questions for a conversation about timing and location. Any official relocation entitlement or reimbursement rule should be checked with the relevant programme directly.
02 · The Pike Group — give the local conversation a starting point
The Pike Group’s website offers buyer guides and a team introduction that explicitly includes people relocating to Nova Scotia and those navigating a military posting. Its public material identifies the practice with Royal LePage Atlantic and links to Sandra Pike’s professional social account.
What we value is the connection between the buying process and a local conversation. A newcomer needs a way to turn a broad interest in Halifax into a manageable set of places and questions. We would begin with the buyer material and ask which local details should change the shape of our search.
03 · Perkins Real Estate — put Halifax on the map
Perkins Real Estate, led by Andrew Perkins, has a dedicated relocation page offering an emailed Halifax e-book. The public website also provides community paths, a home-buying process section and closing-cost material. Its site identifies Keller Williams Select Realty as the brokerage.
The public structure is the reason for this selection. It gives a newcomer several routes into understanding the place and the process. The relocation e-book requires an inquiry; we did not request or assess its private contents. We would start with the available community pages, then decide whether the offered guide would help with the next questions.
Read, then narrow the map
Our editorial order considers the specificity of the public relocation brief and the routes a newcomer can take into local information. We are recognising those resource offerings, rather than certifying a relocation service or reproducing advice about official programmes.
A useful next step is to arrive at the first conversation with a short description of the move and the things still uncertain. These three practices have put different starting points into public view. The value comes from turning that first reading into a clearer local discussion.
